How To Help

"Many Hands Make Light Work"

Through an organized structure of leaders, we intend to break down the responsibility of the total goal into workable goals among 10 teams headed by Team "Star" Leaders. Each Star Team "Leader" will commit to a goal of $50,000, recruiting 10 "Captains" to each commit to raising $5,000. If each captain's team has 10 volunteers, each would be responsible for only $500.
A target list of potential contributors is being developed by the Advisory Committee for follow-up by our Star team members. A letter explaining our need and media information will be distributed before the Fundraising Kickoff, so the community will be aware of the need. Can you help as a Leader, a Captain, a Star Member, or simply a contributor--large or small?

We need leaders

In addition to the Allendale Correctional Worship Center (ACWC) Board, an Advisory Board consisting of leaders in the community has been established. We want your advice and help. From this group, we hope to develop a list of thousands of potential contributors and funding agencies. If you are willing to help--even just lend your name, please let us know.

We need community support

Community programs and leaders are needed to help us work within existing funding sources and structures to develop a network of support. United Way, Urban League, Salvation Army, Cooperative Ministries, shelters, halfway houses, independent programs, government, and quasi-government sources--all are a vital link for our community to reach out and help.

We need contributors

If you cannot afford to donate time or large amounts of money, any amount you can afford--$10, $25, $100--or whatever is in your heart, is desperately needed. If you are unable to contribute personally, perhaps you know someone who would be open to receiving a phone call or letter from us asking for their help. All donations are tax deductible under IRS 501(c)(3) regulations.

We need Religious Organization's support

Religious organizations at ACI are well represented and supported--Southern Baptist, Independent Baptist, Evangelical, African Methodist Episcopal (AME), United Methodist, Roman Catholic, Episcopalian, Lutheran, Presbyterian, House of Yahweh, Jewish, Muslim, Rastafarian, Native American, Buddhist, Wiccan and others will be supported by an ACI Worship Center.
The leadership of each religion is crucial in helping us build a facility that will accommodate and make services more effective. If you know a contact within your organization--local, state or national--please contact us and let us know.

We need public and private funding sources

If you know private foundations or other sources who may also donate to improve spiritual life at ACI and reduce recidivism, please contact us at
